As long as the enemy can hide in our soul, he will always have a certain amount of control over us.
BUT when God exposes him, we are on our way to FREEDOM, if we will put ourselves in God's hands and permit Him to do what He desires to do
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (emancipation from bondage, freedom). 2 Corinthians 3:17

NOthing quite like freedom.
We long for freedom before we know what it truly means to be free or what the process will be to get there. The enemy will try to divert us at every turn - wherever he can, but God is Faithful to expose him and show us the true path - His path for us. Once freed, we will then realize how much we were in bondage. Praise God - He came to proclaim FREEDOM for the captives and RELEASE from darkness for the prisoners (of the enemy). Isaiah 61:1-3
